Summer Vacations

After 10 continuous months of school

It is hot but also cool

Sit at home & nicely rest

Do the things that are the best



Play sports outside the house

While our mothers sit at home & drowse

In the night go to a restaurant and eat

Go to a theatre & get a wonderful seat



In ten months, summer vacation comes once

Enjoy a lot because you won’t get tons

Do the things you always desired

Meet the people you’ve always admired

Christmas

With houses lit up


With beautiful Christmas trees

Comes the smell of gingerbread & cake

In the chilly cold breeze



Rhythmic Christmas carols are sung

In the church where you can hear the jingling of bells

Santa Claus comes home & gives gifts

Not to disappoint the children, the mother tells



When yummy goodies are exchanged

When faces are lit up with joy

The time of beauty arrives

Everyone is happy as children play with toys



Children throw snowballs at each other

And make a real snowman

Skiing on the crystal white snow

Is something of which I am a fan



It’s my favorite festival Christmas

It takes me in my comfort zone

Celebrated on the 25th December

On which day I don’t feel alone

Halloween

With scary faces at your doorstep


The lot of scariness greets

With scary & sweet voices

They say “trick or treat”



Give them chocolates or get tricked

Or get an egg thrown on your face

Get scared by spiders & pumpkins

So give them goodies to slow down their pace



With bags full of chocolates & candies

The children leave the houses with delight

Eating the chocolates joyfully

With cavities nowhere in sight



It’s Halloween that brings such joy

Oh, how I love it!

It’s a marvelous & tremendous festival

As children’s faces are lit up.

Stars

When you look up in the dark night sky


There are small things which clearly you can’t see

They shine like diamonds shine

And absolutely beautiful to me



They surround the snow, white moon

Shapes can be formed by many

They are called constellations

And I don’t know the name of any



They twinkle so beautifully

Complicated astronomy they are related too

They are scattered around the beautiful sky

And I hope you like it too



They are the stars so pretty

I could sleep on a roof watching stars

And just lay back down there

They look beautiful around Mars

The Power of Many

For a forest to be formed


You need many trees

To form a great team

You need the best people to win it with ease



One tree doesn’t make a forest

One person doesn’t make a team

For one you need many

Only then comes the gleam



With many comes power

And weakness is with one

With one you’ll have a bad time

With many you can have fun

Insects

Creeping & crawling and making noises


They are afraid of the dark at night

Before it turns dark, they come into houses

They are super tiny & like the light



Some are dull in color & many we murder

When you are sleeping, they buzz in your ear

They are harmless but also irritate

And we are who they fear



They come in several types

They are more than billions over the world

They come in dull colors

None of them are curled



They obviously are the irritating insects

Oh, how I want them to get out

And stop interfering in our world

And I hate them, no doubt

My Grandparents love me!

The second my life did start
My grandparents loved me from the heart
Even from me they are close or far
They treat me like a star

They will always be remembered by me
In my heart, they will always be
All the times they help me a lot
They also calm me down when I have fought

They teach me whatever I want to know
They told treat nobody like a foe
They give me lots of yummy things to eat
They are not even strict & don’t even beat

Parents scold us but grandparents don’t
For their life they won’t
In their house everyone wants to stay
My grandparents mean everything to me in every way.

Rainy Evenings

On holidays or after school
It usually rains a lot
And I just like to sit
Drink hot chocolate in a pot

Sometimes I like to sit on the sofa
And watch the trees swaying around
And the power of raindrops falling
With immense sound

Sometimes on rainy days I like to eat pakoras
Or sometimes just doze off
Or just play sport out
But then I get a cough

It is a really good smell
When raindrops with mud it mixes
Or sometimes just watch TV
When Dhoni’s hitting sixes

I like rains a lot
But of floods people complain
But you can really enjoy
Other than people who don’t like rains who are insane

My dirty dog

As I go past her
She loudly barks
She chases me a lot
And leaves scratch marks

My mother likes her a lot
She barks so loud
And I always think
She barks like around her is a big crowd

Her name is Ruby
She doesn’t look like one
I really hate her
Really fast she runs

She’s a pet dog I always wanted
I’d like to give up her
An owl or a lovebird
Is much better

We got fooled!!!

Once the Principal came
In our class & said
“Children we have a day out today
Quickly get out of bed

We are going to a park
And eating ice-cream
And watching a cricket match
And eating chicken from which is coming out steam

We will also play games
The teachers and me
You can also play
Lot’s of things you will see

You know why
This I did say
I was just joking
It’s April Fools day”

Flowers

Flowers are a beautiful sight
As good as to see up in the air colourful kites
It has sweet nectar & is colourful
It is so wonderful

Pink, yellow, red, orange & white
They are good colours of a flower, as bright as a light
The Hibiscus & Rose flowers are amazig
Thank God it’s not on the field where cows are grazing

Pollination happens with flowers
In cross pollination, new varieties come which have powers
It doesn’t happen in self pollination
A flower is so beautiful you can give it to your pet dalmation

A big disaster

I love food a lot
And then I decided to bake a cake
Though I was not taught
But I read a recipe how to bake

My mother was standing next to me
A wonderful cake she was going to see
It looked so yummy
In the tummy

Suddenly my dog pushed me
And the chocolate cake was on my mother’s face
A sight I couldn’t see
Oh this was really a big case

She was so angry for this
For one year she gave me no kiss
I tried to explain her about it
She didn’t listen a little bit

Air Pollution

Do you want the earth to end?
If not, the earth you should defend
Air pollution is happening all around
North, South, East, West also with lots of sound

Smoke is around spreading diseases
People will get infected if this increases
Public transport we should use
Throwing plastic we should reduce

Carbon dioxide will be in the atmosphere if we cut trees
If this will continue, pollution will increase
Live green, love green, make green
And make a wonderful scene

Create awareness about air pollution
Everyone come together let’s form a solution
Please let the earth survive
If you don’t the end will soon arrive

Catching the bus

Catching the bus in the morning is a pain
It completely drives us insane
To catch the bus in time we have to run around
So chaotic with lots of sound

Get up at 6:30 and 7:30 at the gate
To do that daily, we are so late
Daily the bus keeps changing it’s time
We don’t even have time to chew a lime

On holidays we have time to rest
That’s the best
Then on Monday catch the bus
That’s a big fuss

This happens everyday
No time for a word to say
It happens so quick
Which makes us sick

Be Brave

We need to be very brave
For our life to save
Every second, minute & hour
We should be prepared to fight like a star

Cowards will always lose every time
And just lazily chew a limeCowards will always lose to brave people
Even if they are good or evil

Every time brave we should be
Everyone in the world & me
To fight back we should have the power
We should fight as strong as the wall of a tower.

The Nature Kiss

The green grass near the village
Is really good to see
It grows and grows and gets happier
As the river gives a smile to me

And also the beautiful flowers
Or the plants shining very bright
Sometimes this is
The perfect place to fly a kite

And then the children playing all around
Or singing a song
Or some just have fun
Calling themselves “King Kong”

This is what I call beautiful nature
And I should say this
The lucky village
Has the “nature kiss”

Go Green

Go green, Go green
Keep your surroundings clean
Plant a tree today
Not just today, everyday

Cut a tree, plant ten more
Because see many trees and also explore
Keep your environment clean
And make a wonderful scene

Earth without trees
Is like pizza without cheese
Reuse, Renew, Recycle & ReduceTrees and the earth, we should not misuse

Chocolates

Oh Chocolates, oh so yummy
Even if it’s junk, it’s yummy in the tummy
Chocolates no one can resist, even though cavities we get
We’ll take lot of chocolates for our self & give some to our pet

Vanilla, ginger, nut & more
The flavours of chocolate you can get from the store
Chocolate cakes, chocolate ice-creams of whatever it can be
Chocolate is the best, you will see

We should not eat lot’s of chocolates a day
Otherwise cavities will come & stay
But eating chocolates, no one can stop
Other desserts at the bottom and chocolate at the top

Change

From US to Mangalore
From Mangalore to Bombay
From Bombay to a place
Called Bangalore where we will stay

We’ll never know when we are going to move
A house or a place
A state or a country
It’s always a big case

Change is all around us
Every second, minute and hour
Every half a second
Even in a car

Change is always permanent
We need to be ready to change
A house, state or country
Even though we think it’s strange

Food

Food, food, wonderful food
Making me in a good mood
To become a chef is my dream
And not use a lot of cream

I like desserts the most
It is much better than a toast
Chocolate desserts are the best
Better than vanilla, strawberry & the rest

So in some years, a restaurant will be mine
And I think it’s all fine
I’ll make wonderful food for a lot
And I’ll not make it in a pot

Good things of life

Some like dancing, some like playing, some like reading
For mothers to their babies, some like feeding
Some like playing cricket & football
And some just run around & also play music and basketball

They are the good things of life
You can do it without a wife
Some like playing such games to see who committed a crime
Or some like to watch television in the meantime

Some good things of life
Can come in small packages you can show to your wife
Suppose I make really good food
And eat in very little quantity in a glass, I’ll be in a good mood.

The rat ate chocolates

Once the rat entered
The house from the window sill
We had left the net open
And it came from the grill

We had brought chocolates
A professional chef had made
It was so delicious
And an expensive amount had to be paid

The rat climbed the shelf
And broke all the chocolate jars
The glass smashed into pieces
And on the floor were chocolate bars

The chocolates were all eaten
By this stupid rat
He ate & destroyed everything
He should be eaten by a cat

There is no subsitute to hard work

To achieve something good or great
Or to be bright
Or to be famous
We have to practice day & night

For that, hardworking we have to be
There is no substitute to it
We have to practice hours & hours
A lot, not a bit

It can’t just come like that
Without practicing a lot
Thinking we are all fit with it
Then we’ll not gain the spot

First be hardworking
And then will come success
Slowly, slowly when we grow better
People we will truly impress
